Noorderland High School’s Gr 9 learners shared with Review what their biggest lesson was in 2022 and what they hope to improve on this year.
Dakalo Mathekga: I constantly keep in mind who I am, that you deserve to be where you are in life, and never let others judge you. I say this as I look back on the year in which peer pressure caused me to change into someone I am not. I intend to learn from my mistake and appreciate myself for who I am.Debele Rakoma: I learnt a valuable lesson: No matter how challenging life becomes, always remember why you started. I am certain that all I have planned for next year will be completed because I am confident it will be worthwhile.Antoinette Selepe: No matter what you go through in life always be true to yourself and try by all means to avoid negative people and and remember to relax a bit in life.Dimpho Mokoena: I learnt that without hard work and discipline, one can hinder their journey to success, because in order to have a great future we need to work hard, respect our elders and listen to them more.Tshepang Nkadimeng: Being positive and a reliable person are the two things I look forward to working on next year because I don’t think there is anything that is impossible when one has a positive mindset.Lesego Matlhogela: Confidence has really been my biggest lesson for this year because now that I am confident, I know better about myself.
