POLOKWANE – The u/13 soccer team of Laerskool Ivypark is eyeing the trophy of the Limpopo School School League, which kicks off on March 16.
The school will battle it out for the top spot with soccer teams from Pemps, PCS, Florapark Comprehensive, Nirvana Primary School, Northern Academy and Mitchell House.
Chris Makgoka, team coach, said they have a capable team that can win any match on any given day.
“We have prepared well for the league. We started with the preparations in January. We did well last season and the aim this year is to lift up the trophy.”
Their opening match will be against Nirvana Primary School at the school’s sport field on March 16.
“We want to start well obviously, we know Nirvana Primary, we know their weaknesses and will capitalise on that. It is going to be a long season and we want to start well.”
