PEMPS hosts u/10 soccer and netball tourney

Thirteen schools took part with prizes handed out to the top three teams, while the other players all received certificates of participation.

POLOKWANE – Pietersburg English Medium Primary School (PEMPS) hosted their annual u/10 soccer and netball tournament on May 25, building good relationships and sportsmanship among participating teams.

Players from Northern Academy, MEPS, PCS, Mitchell House, Eagle’s Nest, Ivypark, PEPPS Polokwane, PEPPS Ga-Ledwaba, Grace Land, Mokopane Primary, Nirvana Primary, Flora Park and Bet-Shalom took part.

Mabine Mametja the school’s sports co-ordinator said sport brings people together, “The tournament is meant to be fun as sport is one of the things that can bring people together. That is why we invited parents to come and enjoy the day with us”.

There were prizes for the top three teams in each sporting discipline, while the other players all received certificates of participation.
