What are Julius Malema’s most prolific qualities?

Firstly, he is a straight-talking dissident who speaks truth to power. Most of his admirers are mesmerised by his unflinching militancy and punching words.

He employs a mixture of common language, radicalism and dazzling comedy to criticise and belittle his rivals. In 2009 he called Blade Nzimande “a yellow communist who spends most of his time drinking red wine”.

Juju and the Youth League once challenged the SACP to a vicious street fight. That radical challenge was made at a time when there were tensions between Juju and the SACP.

Secondly, Juju is highly gifted at rendering speeches that resonate within the hearts of ordinary people. Even when he was Youth League president, Juju was fond of criticising the ANC government over service delivery issues. He was a top ANC leader who was much adored and admired by the poor and unemployed.

I think president Jacob Zuma also enjoy watching Malema’s captivating political speeches on television. Three months ago Juju told protesting community members in Malamulele who seek to have their own municipality that: “President Zuma would not come to this place because he does not even know Malamulele. You will only see Zuma on a ballot paper next year”. That comical statement indeed compelled Zuma to later visit that area.

Thirdly, Malema is exceptionally capable of delivering fascinating political orations. He is a powerful and meticulous public speaker.

Juju’s prolific eloquence reminds me of Adolf Hitler and Jonas Savimbi’s superb linguistic capabilities. There are many professors and doctors whose intellectuality cannot withstand Juju’s oratorical skills. He possesses a great potential to become one of Africa’s most celebrated radical leaders.

People who are oblivious and ignorant of Malema’s inherent greatness are doing so at their own peril. His party, the EFF, would perform far better than Cope, UDM, IFP, PAC and Azapo in the coming 2014 general elections.

I predict that Mamphele Ramphela’s Agang-SA would dismally fail to accumulate even 1% of the national votes.
