Starting a business can be quite exciting in the beginning, but it requires hard work in the long run.
You start with the dream of creating something great for you and your family, start taking the required action and are suddenly faced with the harsh realities of business.
That is why you must do what you are passionate about, because then work becomes fun for you.
Some say that work is love made visible and we all know what happens when we are in love:
• Time disappears.
• You can stay up late and wake up early without any moaning and groaning.
• You are willing to do whatever it takes to keep your loved one happy.
If you asked me what the number one rule of business was, I’d say it is simply to love your business. It is not whether you have what it takes, but if you are willing to do whatever it takes to get it to work out the way you want it to be.
One of the biggest challenges we face today is to do the things that our businesses cannot afford to operate without.
Unless you can get yourself to do what is important for your business, nothing will improve. Even the best planning tool in the world will not do you any good if you cannot get yourself to do what is required.
Starting a business is not easy. You try to follow the steps as prescribed by the experts and you still don’t get the results that you were promised. Everything seems bleak and you find yourself without the support and guidance that you really need. Can you relate to any of the above?
The trick is to never give up.
Mary Ann Radmacher said: “Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes it’s a quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I’ll try again tomorrow.” I love this quote because of how it captures the way we feel at the end of some stages of our businesses.
The truth of the matter is that tomorrow does come, and with it the hope for something better.
