Do the best you can with the time you have.

Time is definitely my most precious and scarce commodity at the moment.

Time is definitely my most precious and scarce commodity at the moment.

With the new year off to a whirlwind start, I feel extra plumb crazy. But in spite of this, I try to counsel myself to sit back, take a deep breath, plan the year ahead and then make sure I follow through.

But where will I get the time? It’s always easy to plan, but the implementation is what’s difficult. And I suspect that when I next decide to take stock of what’s happening in my life, half the year will be over and we will be full steam ahead on the way to Christmas once again!

Do you find the same thing happening to you? With technology being as advanced as it is, I am sure it can’t be difficult for someone to invent a time machine that really works. Not just anyone would have access to a machine such as this. You would have to have a special licence to own a time machine because in the wrong hands, the most terrible things could occur.

Naturally, I would be one of the first people to own a time machine. I wouldn’t misuse it either. It would definitely make my life much easier. Just imagine: I would be able to save so much time in the end.

Every time I realised that I was wasting time on a specific task, I could just go back and do it better and quicker the second time around. But no, on second thoughts, I think I will learn to implement my planning instead.

Life would become extremely tedious if I had to repeat everything I didn’t do perfectly the first time. At the end of the day, we all just do the best we can with the time we are given. So, I have determined that from now on, I will live every moment as if it is my last.

I will have no regrets. After all, there is no time for them!
