Traffic official parks on red line

BRIEF

I was shopping yesterday at a clothing store in Retief Street, when my attention was caught by a traffic vehicle that was parked on a red line.

I peeped into the Chinese shop, where I saw the traffic officer doing some shopping. As a citizen who obeys the law, I would like to raise the question: if I where to park on a red line, would I get a ticket, or can I change the rules to my liking? If we are to obey the rules of the law the traffic officers should set the example.

Greetings

• Mafenya Lediga from the traffic department commented: “This matter is of great concern to us and an investigation will be made. We take this very seriously as we are responsible for setting an example.”
