How to do the overhead shoulder press | Body Life

In this video, Heinrich discusses another compound exercise which includes a shoulder-press. Eugene demonstrates.

The next few weeks Body Life trainer, Heinrich Wolhüter will be doing something different by giving you tips on how to do basic exercises you might have been struggling with in the gym.

In this video, Heinrich discusses another compound exercise which includes a shoulder-press.  Eugene demonstrates.

“The exercise is excellent to isolate your delts and really strengthen your shoulder muscles and core,” said Heinrich.
He explained that in order to do the exercise properly you will have to put the bar, (with your comfortable weight) almost right on top of your chest.
From there you can take the bar about shoulder-width apart and slightly bend your knees, you can then push the bar up and extend at the top and bring it down again until the bar is under your chin.
“Should you have any back problems, you can put one foot in front of the other to stabilize yourself, it is important to make sure that you don’t bend your back too much,” he added.
