Swimmers tackle fierce challenge
Some 237 young swimmers from nine swimming clubs competed in the Limpopo Aquatic Swimming Championships at the Polokwane public swimming pool from November 22 to 24.
POLOKWANE – Some 237 young swimmers from nine swimming clubs competed in the Limpopo Aquatic Swimming Championships at the Polokwane public swimming pool from November 22 to 24.
The swimmers were supported by over 400 spectators who shouted their encouragement of the swimmers.
Children between the ages of nine and 17 years competed in 350 different items with six records being broken at the event.
Ude Fuchs broke an impressive four records with Jacques Janse van Rensburg and Ashley Hunter each breaking one.

The winning team was Shamu Swimming Club, with Limpopo Tuks Swimming Club in second place and Eager Aquatics in third place.
