PAC prepares for 2014’s 1st race

POLOKWANE – Polokwane Athletics Club’s (PAC) athletes are already actively training for this year’s road races.

At the same time they are busy with the final touches of the upcoming Seeff Property Services road race that will take place on Saturday. The race will start and finish at Platinum Park shopping centre in Polokwane.

PAC athletes gather every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 05:00 at La Vita Health Club in Natorp Street, and every Wednesday evening from 17:45 at the PAC club house in Dorp Street for their training sessions. On Saturdays athletes get together at the club house for an early morning session from 05:30.

The Seeff Property Services road race will be run over distances of 10 and 5 km. Entry for the 10 km race cost R40 and the 5 km race cost R20 per athlete. Athletes set to compete in the 10 km race and who do not have provincial road race licences can buy temporary event licenses at R25 each from the club. Registration will be open from 17:00 to 19:00 at the race venue.
