Gymstars awards achievers

Gymstars Gymnastics Club rounded off a successful 2015 with an awards ceremony for its senior members held at Hoërskool Noorderland last Thursday. During the ceremony the club honoured gymnasts for their club participation and demonstration of talents in girls’ rhythmic gymnastics, boys’ artistic gymnastics and tumbling.
They also received trophies for their successes at regional and national competitions. Big winners on the day were JC Logtenberg who was named Best Artistic Boys’ Gymnast 2015 and Lize van Ryneveld who took home the Award as Best Rhythmic Girls’ Gymnast 2015. Lelanie Logtenberg, club owner and head coach, paid tribute to parents and judges who supported her throughout the year.
“The club has gone from strength to strength this year, growing in membership and gymnastic prowess. It has been a busy and tremendously fulfilling year and I look forward to seeing what 2016 will bring,” she said.
