Polokwane Open concludes year of golfing

Polokwane Golf Club hosted the Polokwa­ne Open Toshiba Cup Final Play-off on Sunday which saw several players giving their all on the course to secure a top score.
Since the beginning of the year golfers in the Toshiba Cup participated in several competitions at golf courses across the province prior to the successful final hosted on Sunday.
The Polokwane Open senior winner is Malebana Pataki with 18-year-old Franco Putter as junior winner. Neil Rathman top scored in the mid-am category while WF Pretorius took the win as nett winner. Jannie Bronkhorst claimed overall victory as Polokwane Open Champion 2015.
The A, B and C divisions were won by Muhluri Mahine, Joe Mackays and Nathi Se­dibe respectively.
Prior to the Polokwane Open, Polokwane Golf Club hosted the Specsavers Mall of the North Golf Day on Saturday.
Andries du Plessies took the win followed by Riaan Nel and Jan Nel in second and third place. Belinda Schutte took nearest to the pin on the ninth hole while Menno Malherbe succeeded in launching his ball closest to the pin on the 18th hole.
Last Wednesday Thys de Kock won the Tops Liquor Individual Stableford with 45 points.
