Du Plessis takes win at club day

Andries du Plessis claimed victory at the Polokwane Golf Club’s Club Day after scoring 41 points on Saturday.
Morgan Mayoss and Charles Mdhuli took second and third position on the podium respectively.
Earlier last week Polokwane Golf Club hosted a combine sponsorship in an individual Stableford format which lured 52 participants.
Thys de Kock and Walter du Plessis claimed first prize with a score of 46 points followed by Gerhard Els and Zack Meyer in second place with 45 points. A total score of 44 points earned Peter Mashela and Thabo Shingange a third place on the podium.
Prizes for nearest to the pin were allocated to Len Olley, fourth hole, Johan Liebenberg, eighth, Attie Buitendag, 11th, Thabo Shingange, 16th and Piet Bronkhorst who landed his ball nearest to the pin for two on the tenth hole.
