Siphelele Ntshangase, Captain of Black Leopards Football Club is included in the 25-man squad announced by Bafana Bafana Coach Stuart Baxter on Monday that will face Zambia in the 2018 African Nations Championship (Chan) qualifiers.
The first leg of the qualifiers will take place on 12 August at a venue still to be announced, with the second leg set to be played in Zambia a week later.
Ntsangase, who scored five goals for Leopards last season, will join the team camp set to start on Sunday in Johannesburg. The KwaZulu-Natal-born midfield maestro already boasts four appearances and two goals for the national team.
Black Leopards, Berry Ramunenyiwa said they were delighted for Ntshangase’s sake and wished him good luck.
“He is a brilliant player and one of the most hardworking in our team. Many teams are after his signature and we are not surprised because he is a consistent performer and one of the best midfielders in the country,” Ramunenyiwa commented.
