Local golfer Bennie Hattingh outplayed his opposition of 88 players to be crowned the winner with a score of 73 at a golfing competition held at the Polokwane Golf Club on Saturday.
Playing conditions made for a great day of stroke play golfing with a moderate gusts that forced players to make slight changes in their playing style.
In the zero to nine handicap A-division men’s category, Hattingh set the standard with Liano Viviers following closely in second place with a score of 77.
In the 10 to 18 handicap B-division, Arno Wienand managed to tie with Nelis Britz with a total of 70 shots while Thomas Munguni stepped out as the winner of the 19 and above handicapped C-division with a score of 73.
Harshad Mistry could only manage a score of 78 to be runner-up.
In the zero to 18 handicap Ladies A-division, Bev Weijters, had 6 shots above the course number to achieve 72 while Cynthia Viljoen equalled the same amount of shots to be crowned as leader of the 19 to 36 handicapped Ladies B-division.
