PSL approves Tshakuma deal

Milano United FC has been sold and the club will henceforth campaign in the National First Division (NFD) in Limpopo under the name Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhadila Football Club.
The Executive Committee of the Premier Soccer League (PSL) approved the sale transaction application from Milano United Football Club in terms of Article 14 of the National Soccer League (NSL) Handbook.
Tshakuma who recently secured the services of Sello Chokoe will become the second club from Venda after Black Leopards Football Club to ply their trade in the NFD.
Chokoe said he is happy to be coaching in the NFD again after going the same route with Baroka Football Club, Black Leopards Football Club and Nathi Lions Football Club in the past.
“Firstly let me say we are excited with the prospect of playing in the NFD. It is a better league and an opportunity to prepare myself for the future PSL job. The players are happy and they are looking forward to the journey,” Chokoe said.
He also mentioned that it won’t be an easy transition from the ABC Motsepe League, the third tier of South African football, to NFD. “They spend most of the time in the ABC Motsepe and I can assure you it is going to be tough but we are ready for the NFD. Our mandate is to win the NFD title at the end of the season. We can’t come in this division to participate, we must play for the plays-offs or automatic promotion,” Chokoe emphasised.
