Henri Eksteen, Founder and President of the Henri Eksteen Fight Club, was recently appointed as Administrator of Limpopo Karate. He is also recognised as among the world’s best martial artists in a recent publication, ‘The Fearsome 400’ by Ted Gambordella
A renowned martial artist, Gambordella compiled a book in which he pays tribute to the 400 best martial artists of all time from around the world who have dedicated their lives to the sport. Eksteen is reportedly the only South African mentioned.
According to Eksteen the position as Administrator is a great honour. He said this will allow all fighting clubs in Limpopo affiliated with KSA to have a chance to qualify for the national karate team and participation in the 2020 Olympic Games as karate has been accepted as an official Olympic sport.
He thanked everyone who has contributed to his success in the 40 years of involvement in the sport.
