Football Club warns players of scam

Polokwane City Football Club is warning of an alleged conman offering trials at the club in exchange for money and fraudulently using the name of their Head Coach, Bernard Molekwa.
A statement released by Club Spokesperson Vusi Ntimane on Monday stated that the club has received numerous calls recently of persons stating that a man who claims to be Head Coach Bernard Molekwa is promising trials in exchange for money on Facebook.
“Polokwane City Football Club would like to state that Coach Bernard Molekwa is not active on social media,” the statement by Ntimane read.
“Polokwane City Football would like to distance itself from any trials alert going around on social media. The team has a complete squad in both the Multi Choice Diski Challenge (MDC) and the senior team. We have 28 players in the senior team and 20 in MDC and we won’t be signing any players. We would like to put it clear that we are not conducting trails at the moment and we do not charge any trial fee. Polokwane City Football Club management would like to advice people to contact the Club directly for any information needed,” the statement read.
