Baroka confident of beating Chiefs

Baroka Football Club is confident that they will win their duel against Kaizer Chiefs at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday.
Spokesperson Jimmy Ngobeni after their 2-2 draw against Ajax Cape Town Football Club at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday was adamant that victory against Kaizer Chiefs was a done deal. The team’s feat against Ajax which saw them move from fourth to second position in the Premier Soccer League (PSL).
Baroka are still to lose a match of the 2017/18 PSL season having claimed the scalps of Bloemfontein Celtic, Free State Stars and Chippa United in earlier encounters.
Ngobeni said they have never lost against Kaizer Chiefs since been promoted to the professional ranks of South African football. “Kaizer Chiefs is a big team in the African continent and we are well prepared for them. They have never beaten us and we don’t want to lose that good record against them. We want to keep our position in the league. We don’t want to find ourselves in a situation where we are chasing other teams, we want teams to chase us this season,” Ngobeni said.
He confirmed that all players will be available for selection except midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane who suffered a knock against Ajax on Saturday. “He is the only one injured in the team, other than him we have a clean bill of health.
All the players are re-energised and ready for the match. We want to win this encounter and move to the summit of the league,” Ngobeni said.
