First Polokwane eSports Championship to commence this weekend

The Mindsports South Africa (MSSA) Regional Championship hosted by Fragcon Gaming is set to take place for the first time in Polokwa­ne at the Hoër Tegniese Skool Tom Naudé school hall this coming weekend.
According to MSSA General Secretary Colin Webster the event is scheduled to start on Saturday at 09:00 and finish at 19:00 on Sunday and that spectators are welcome to attend the games.
Players will have the opportunity to compete in Counterstrike: Global Offensive, League Of Legends LoL, Pro Evolution Soccer, Injustice 2 and Hearthstone on Saturday and Tekken 7, Street Fighter, Starcraft 2 and Defence of the Ancients on Sunday with an award ceremony at the end of each day.
He further explained that the championship counts as a qualifier for the MSSA National Team Trials which will be announced at a later stage.
Antonette Jordaan, Tom Naudé eSports Organiser, said that all the arrangements are in place and that they are expecting almost 100 players in total of which three teams will represent Tom Naudé, one team from Polo­kwane Preparatory School and College, two teams come from the Free State and 1 team from Gauteng. Hoërskool Pietersburg will also be represented by two teams in the unofficial league.
Entries for the public are R10 per person with children under 13 entering for free, while gamers are required to pay R100 per person for the weekend. Various food and drinks stalls will be available.
