Local motocross riders excel at series finals

Motocross enthusiasts and members of Capricorn Racing Club (CRC) did well in this year’s Limpopo MX Series and showed off some skill during the final leg hosted in Phalaborwa recently.
Riders competed in six race days consisting of three heats per race category and their skills were tested on race tracks in Mbombela, Phalaborwa and the local CRC track.
CRC members took several first overall positions in the series and claimed 14 podium positions.
Peter Keartland came out tops in the MX85 category while Warren Laubscher and Eckhard van Heerden finished first in the MX Support and Flat Track Open category respectively.
Laubscher also finished second overall in the Flat Track Veterans and Masters category. Darrel Lehman was announced overall winner of the MX Master category as well as the Flat Track Veterans and Masters category.
Other overall podium position for the series went to Aaron Schoeman, third in MX50; Ruben Marais and Mia Terblanche, second and third in Pro Mini; Ryan Terblanche, second in MX125; Eckhard van Heerden, second in MX1; Ryan Schoeman, third in MX3 Veterans and Roche van Heerden and Franco Marais, second and third in Flat Track Open.
