The Yin-Yan Karate and Self Defence Studio rewarded their members for the perseverance and dedication shown in competitions throughout the year when the club held its annual prize giving ceremony in Polokwane on Saturday.
Prior to the ceremony members of the club entertained the audience, consisting mostly of friends and family, with some of their special and most complex moves.
Awards were made to Aqeel Jardien – Best Karate Kid, 3 to 6 years category.
Talha Jardien – Most Improved Karateka, Bonolo Chauke – Best Overall Kata, Naeelah Jardien – Best Junior Karetaka, Muskan Umata – Best Kumite, Saaniya Pocha – Best Female Senior Kareteka and John Kwangwere – Best Male Senior Karateka.
Sultin Ali Umata walked away with the Best Progress Award, Fazlin Jardien was named Instructor of the Year and Nuraan Jardien Karateka of the Year.
