Baroka Football Club will be eager for a second victory of the 2017/18 Premier Soccer League (PSL) season against the mighty Kaizer Chiefs when they clash at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday.
The Ga-Mphahlele based gallery will go into the match buoyed by their impressive 2-0 victory against Amazulu Football Club last Sunday.
The feat against Usuthu catapulted them from ninth to fourth position in the league and three points against Chiefs will see them move up yet another rung.
Chiefs have yet to beat Baroka since the latter’s establishment and they will be hoping to break the cycle and delight their fans.
Club’s Chief Executive Officer, Morgan Mammila said they are confident that they will continue with their dominance against the Amakhosi. “It is a important game for us and our supporters. We want to sustain our position in the top 8 bracket and also keep our good record against them. To do that we have to win on Sunday,” Mammila said.
The Bakgaga will rely heavily on key players Gift Motupa, Talent Chawapiwa, Mduduzi Mdantsane and captain Dineo Shaku to win the match.
