The Polokwane Golf Club’s club day golf challenge which was played in a betterball format was well attended with 104 golfers competing for prizes that were at stake on Saturday.
The challenge was intense but Raoul van Zyl and Francois Goosen were on top of their game and managed to finish first with 47 points on a count in while Papu Lukhanyiso and Charles Mdluli occupied the second spot with the same points but on a count out.
Harshad Mistry had the honours to make the jackpot lucky draw at holes four, eight, 17 and 18. The jackpot which was standing at 540 units with only 430 units payable and won by Lukhanyiso.
Last Thursday, 96 golfers took to the greens during a golf challenge also played at the Polo­kwane Golf Club. The competition was won by Christo and Gerhard Saaiman, Arnold Venter and Lieb Coetzer with 122 points. Second place went to Carel and Jacques de Jager, Johan and Terry Peyper with 120 points on a count in. The foursome of Danie Bouwer, Jacques Scheepers, Francois Steyn and Zac Meyer fiished third with 120 points on a count out.
