Polokwane City Football Club prepares for PSL season

Polokwane City Football Club, under guidance of new coach Josef Vukusic, started in earnest with preparations for the 2018/19 Premier Soccer League (PSL) season which commences in August.
City who finished the last season in 12th position played friendly matches against National First Division (NFD) side, Tshakuma Tsha Madzivhandila in Giyani and Baroka Football Club in Polokwane last week.
The club has also lined up friendly matches against newly promoted NFD outfit Maccabi Football Club, SuperSport United, Bidvest Wits and new PSL campaigners Highlands Park for the last week of July.
Spokesperson Vusi Ntimane said the preparation for the new season was going well and they were eagerly anticipating the onset of the new season.
“The players are working well with the new coach. The friendly matches have also given the coach an opportunity to try new combinations, formations and also test strength of the team. All the teams we are going up against play a different type of football and we want to acquaint ourselves with their style,” Ntimane said.
