The 2017/18 Premier Soccer League (PSL) golden boot winner Rodney Ramagalela was released from his contract by Polokwane City Football Club on Monday.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club striker has been on suspension since January this year after a fallout with the club.
City allegedly suspended Ramagalela after he decided against renewing his contract with the club, which expires at the end of the season.
He joined the club in 2016 from Golden Arrows Football Club and he scored more than 20 goals in his two seasons at City.
Chief operations officer Tincy Tema confirmed to Polokwane Observer on Monday that they have indeed parted ways with the talented striker. “He served us well. We parted ways amicably and we wish him good luck in his future endeavours,” Tema said.
Ramagalela could not be reached for comment at the time of going to press.
