Talented female soccer players to showcase their skills

South African Football Association (Safa) in Limpopo have announced the teams that will participate in the 2019 Sasol Provincial Women’s Soccer League on Monday.
The league is expected to start on Saturday and conclude in the first week of July 2019.
The confirmed teams for this season are 50 Stars Football Club, Botlokwa Ladies, Kanatla Ladies, Chippa Ladies, Mandebele Happy Fighters, Ma-Indies Ladies, Moria Sweepers Football Club, Real Mighty Ladies, Re Tla Dira Ladies, Samba Girls,Seven Stars Ladies, Shayandima Morning Stars Ladies, Skimzozo Football Club, Sisters of University of Limpopo and Tshandama Young 50 Stars.
Last season’s champions, First Touch Academy who secured a place in the inaugural national women’s football league, will not be part of the provincial league.
Safa Limpopo president, Jack Maluleke said they were looking forward to the exciting new league. “The teams are ready and they cannot wait to get on the field and showcase their immense talent. This is a platform for them to exhibit their aptitude and catch the attention of national and international soccer scouts.
“We already have the likes of Noko Matlou, Lebogang Malepe and Thembi Kgatlana who are in the national team setup. They are the products of this league and we believe through this league we can produce more players like them,” Maluleke said.
