Khaif off to Cubs Week in the Cape
Promising young local cricketer, Khaif Patel will represent Titans at the National Cubs Week in the Western Cape from 1 to 17 February.

The cubs week is well known for preparing players who will be selected to represent South Africa at the u/19 World Cup next year that will be played in the West Indies.
The 17-year-old is the only player who was selected from the province and he represented Limpopo Impala Cricket from the age of 13 at national tournaments.
He was the captain at the Cricket South Africa Momentum u/17 National Tournament where he was scouted to form part of the Titans region pipeline. The Titans region consists of four cricket unions where they pick the best 14 players from the four regions which are Limpopo Impala Cricket, Mpumalanga Cricket, Easterns Cricket at Ekurhuleni and the Northerns in Pretoria.
Patel said he is excited to be selected for the team. “This is another great opportunity for me which I will embrace with both hands. I am highly motivated. This is something that I have been looking forward to. I am ready to challenge and I am looking forward to learn from other selected players.”
Ntsako Emmanuel Sono, Limpopo Impala Cricket u/19 academy framework head coach said they are grateful to see their players getting opportunities as it shows that they are capable of competing at any level.
“We have had players at this beautiful tournament before and for Khaif Patel, it is a dream come true, since he missed out on lots of cricket due to Covid-19. He is such an exciting player to watch and always willing to work hard in order for him to achieve more when it comes to the game.”
He also added that at the age of 17, Khaif has already represented the Limpopo Impala senior men’s team during Cricket South Africa’s three day competition against Boland.
“The boy is really excited about the upcoming tournament even though we’re going through a lot with Covid-19 still happening, the pandemic has really taken most of his time but he managed to work hard and get himself ready since his cousins played a role in making sure that he stays fit and the coaches made sure that the boy must be ready as well. At Limpopo Impala Cricket we are creating legacy and building future leaders in all aspects of the game we wish Khaif all the best.”
