7 clusters battle it out at Dept of Justice sport day
The Department of Justice hosted their annual sports day last Saturday at the Mahwelereng Stadium where seven clusters battled to win the title on the soccer field and netball court.
LIMPOPO – After a tough competition the Polokwane cluster brought home the netball trophy and the Regional Office was crowned as the soccer stars. The Regional Office was also awarded as the best performing cluster.
Sepaiti Olifant from the Mokopane Magistrate’s Court was awarded the Woman of the Match and Magistrate Jacob Mariba from the Modimolle cluster took home the trophy as Man of the Match.
The sports day is an annual event which started in 2012 as a team building event and to celebrate the end of the financial year in March.
The seven clusters are: Thabamoopo, Toyando, Tzaneen, Malamulele, regional office, Polokwane and Modimolle.
Polokwane Magistrate, Mankweng, Bokgomo, Mahwelereng, Seshego and Mokopane falls under one cluster.
Everyone, athletes and spectators alike, thoroughly enjoyed the action packed day and the event ended on a high note with a prestigious prize-giving function at the Park Hotel.
