Luvhengo and Sutton tighten Leopards’ seat

BLACK Leopards are yet to name the man who will take over from Kosta Papic as head coach.
As Leopards continues their quest to return to the Premier Soccer League (PSL), they have acquired the services of Solly Luvhengo and Ashwin Sutton to bolster their technical staff.
Luvhengo, a former South African u/17 and u/20 coach, will serve as an assistant coach, while Sutton, a former Sivutsa Stars and African Warriors head coach, will also be part of the technical team.
Joel Masutha, who was Papic’s assistant coach, will keep his position in the technical team, but is likely to be relegated to head the club’s development structures.
By time of going to print, Leopards management were locked in a meeting in which a decision was supposed to be taken on who will take over from Papic.
Leopards spokesperson, Barry Ramunenyiwa said the club understood that their supporters might be getting restless by the delay in naming the new coach and he revealed that the new coach would be announced this week.
“It is important that we take our time and make the right decision. The new man must be a right fit for the club and must buy into Lidoda Duvha’s ethos and philosophy,” said Ramunenyiwa.
Lidoda Duvha has denied offering their former coach, Vladislav Heric a contract. The Serbian mentor had gone on record saying he was approached by the Venda-based club, but said he no longer worked for peanuts.
Lidoda Duvha will begin their 2014/15 season with a home fixture against former PSL club, Golden Arrows on August 2, followed by a trip to Makhulong Stadium in Tembisa for a date with Jomo Cosmos, before wrapping up the first three batch of fixtures with another home match against newly promoted Ga-Rankuwa United.
