POLOKWANE – Round six of the Prokart Super Single Endurance Kart Series took place at the Polokwane Short Circuit Race Track on the Silicon road on Saturday.
The series is the only endurance kart series in South Africa and is now in its 15th year. The city’s racing enthusiasts enjoyed all the thrills and spills and some spectacular racing as all karts use standard sealed four-stroke engines, control tyres and minimum weight requirements that ensure equal competition.
Drivers competed over three heats, where teams could build up points for the fastest times and the points were then counted together and the team with the most overall points won.
Coming into round six, championships leaders, NFE/Maxspeed hoped to extend their lead over second place winners, Motul Honda SA, however, this was not the case, with Motul Honda taking the first place in all three heats, as well as ending first overall.
