“This remarkable achievement is a demonstration of our commitment to harnessing cutting-edge technology to improve planning, infrastructure development, service delivery and the quality of life of our residents,” Selala said.

What GIS technology does

GIS technology is used to collect, manage and analyse geographical and spatial data, helping organisations make informed decisions about development, service delivery and resource management.

The municipality also congratulated Nkosi and the GIS team, “Your achievement reminds us that greatness knows no geographical boundaries, it is earned through dedication, innovation and excellence.”
