POLOKWANE – Charlie Smith, the Polokwane Golf Club manager, says everything is in place at the club, with golfers already practising for tournaments.

Smith says 2015 promises to be a good year and member fees will remain unchanged.

“Sponsored Wednesday and Saturday competitions have grown and the calendar is already full with golf competitions.

“Corporate company golf days have also increased, with the likes of Audi, BMW and Galactic Ford coming on board in the new year,” says Smith.

He says dates are yet to be finalised for the Winter PGA Pro-Am and the Baobab tournament.

PGA Pro-Am Series is a national event platform for professional and amateur golfers..

He says the glasshouse and the hall at the clubhouse will cater for various functions.

On January 2, golfers gathered at the golf club for a social golf meeting and said they were ready to compete in any golf tournament.
