Mushaike and Rudd move on to Limpopo challenge

POLOKWANE – The MGM Motors Volvo Individual Stableford Golf Challenge took place at the Polokwane Golf Club last Wednesday with 75 people participating.

The top two winners of the challenge will go on to compete against other Limpopo teams, and the top two winners of the provincial challenge will go on to compete nationally. The two winners of the national competition will then compete internationally in the Volvo World Golf Challenge from April 25 to 30 in Shanghai, China.

Chris Jones, Volvo brand manager, handed over prizes that were sponsored by MGM Motors and congratulated the winners on their success.

The winner of the tournament was Dr Ray Mushaike with a total of 44 points and Steve Rudd was in second place with a total of 43 points. Third place was claimed by Patrick Cahill with a total of 40 points and Jan de Beer was in fourth place with a total of 40 points.

The jackpot, which stands at R1 270 of which R1 010 is payable, was carried over as no one won. Nearest to the pin at the fourth hole was Piet Fourie and the longest drive at the 12th hole was made by Brian O’Reilly.

Mushaike and Rudd will go on to play in the Limpopo tournament soon.
