Malherbes are kings of the course at Sun Meropa golf challenge

Menno Malherbe and Jacques Malherbe were announced as the winners of the Sun Meropa golf challenge that was played at the Polokwane Golf Club recently.

POLOKWANE – Menno Malherbe and Jacques Malherbe were announced as the winners of the Sun Meropa golf challenge that was played at the Polokwane Golf Club recently.

The duo accumulated 47 points to claim the first spot and they were followed by Ray Mushaike and Pat Molepo in second position with 46 points.

Khalid Tayob and Charles Hardy answered with 46 points on a count in to occupy the third place while Edwin Mackay and Sipho Talane claimed the fourth position with 46 points on a count out.

The Sun Meropa golf challenge was attended by 72 golfers from the province. All the golfers played a beautiful game with the intention of claiming the first prize. Hasad Mistry received a prize for playing nearest to the pin at hole number four, while Aaron Segwapa received a prize for playing nearest to the pin at hole number 11.

Willy Viljoen did jackpot draws at hole numbers three, 13, 16 and 18 but no one won and the jackpot now stands at R1 820 with R1 456 being payable.
