The Sun Meropa Golf Challenge took place at the Polokwane Golf Club on Saturday.

POLOKWANE – The Sun Meropa Golf Challenge took place at the Polokwane Golf Club on Saturday.

The challenge was played in a betterball stableford format, with 57 golfers competing in the challenge.

The R1 456 jackpot was drawn by Kobie Smit, but there was no winner.

The prize for nearest to the pin on the eighth hole was awarded to Peter Masehela, while Cherie Siebert won the prize for the longest drive on hole 18.

The winners of the day were Carel de Jager and Kobie Smit in first place with a total of 48 points, Joe Mackay and Charles Mara in second place with a total of 47 points and Kobie Smit and Theuns van Tonder in third place with a total of 46 points.
