Action at Review challenge

A total of 80 golfers took part in the Review Golf Challenge on Wednesday, July 22 at the Polokwane Golf Club.

POLOKWANE – A total of 80 golfers took part in the Review Golf Challenge on Wednesday, July 22 at the Polokwane Golf Club. The challenge was played in an individual stableford format.

Jose Afonso won first place with a total of 39 points. Dirk Visagie came in second place with 37 points, Duane Viljoen came third with 37 points on a count-out, while Craig Hawken came in fourth place with 37 points on a count-in. Viljoen gave his apologies as he was unable to attend the prize-giving ceremony and Hawken received the prize for third place by default.

Patrick Cahill won the prize for the longest drive at hole 17 and Hawken received the prize for closest to the pin at hole four.

The winners for the PG Glass mini-competition for the day were Ben Hattingh, Dirk Visagie, Piet Bronkhorst and Hein Warmenhoven.

The jackpot draw was done by Sam Kalla with no winner yet on a total of R3 570 of which R2 850 is payable.
