No one can tell who will win the Limpopo derby between Baroka and Black Leopards in their National First Division (NFD) clash to be played at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.
LIMPOPO – No one can tell who will win the Limpopo derby between Baroka and Black Leopards in their National First Division (NFD) clash to be played at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.
Moshate and Lidoda Duvha’s current form pleased their fans as Baroka won 2-0 against Mthatha Bush Bucks in Umthatha, while Lidoda Duvha walloped FC Cape Town 3-1 at Thohoyandou stadium.Baroka is on top of the NFD league log with 12 points while Leopards is in third position with 10 points.
Black Leopards coach, David Bright, said the derby is like a marathon during which participants should be mentally and physically strong in order to emerge as the winner.
Bright said his boys are ready for the game although they were so clumsy and lost concentration at the back during the first 25 minutes of their match against the Cape side last weekend.
They showed a level of fitness later after the Capetonians had already registered their first goal through Andile Khumalo.
Baroka FC’s technical manager, Oupa Kgoadi said they are ready to trim the Leopards’ claws. “Although I believe in my 11, the exceptional striker, Thabiso Kutumela, will terrorise Leopards’ defenders. This young man has already scored six goals in the five games we played this season. We have a very stable team. I can’t predict the score, but we are going to win the match,” he said.
