Dynamic duo claim Lexus Golf Day win
Douggie Eagar and Carel Haupt emerged as the victors of the Lexus Golf Day at the Polokwane Golf Club after they accumulated 46 points.
The tournament was played in a betterball format and saw 91 golfers from the province take to the greens to test their mettle.
Piet Bronkhorst and Aggie Ströh finished in second place with a total of 43 points on a count-in, and Thys de Kock and Duane Viljoen finished third with a total of 43 points on a count-out.
Because Thys and Duane could not attend the prize giving ceremony, they forfeited their third place win and runner-ups, Jackie Papola and Mpho Makena, claimed the third position with 43 points on a count-out.
The nearest to the pin on hole four was played by Carel Haupt, hole eight by Douggie Eagar, hole 11 by Len Baker and hole 16 by Hendrik van der Merwe.
Piet Venter won the jackpot draw of 1 350 units with a payable amount of 1 080 units.
Big hits on the greens with Amarillo Spur
Andrew Galloway and Morne Etchell walked away with the laurels for the Amarillo Spur Golf Day after accumulating 48 points.
The Amarillo Spur Golf Day took place on the green of the Polokwane Golf Club on Saturday.
Frans Weijters and Dennis Kamstra claimed second place with a total of 46 points, and Zack Chuenyane and Jack Papola occupied the third spot with 45 points.
The nearest to the pin on hole four was played by Willy Marx, and on hole 16 by Lynette Smith.
