Golfers tee off for a good cause
The annual La Wiida Learning Centre charity golf tournament was held at the Polokwane Golf Club last Friday
POLOKWANE – More than 100 golfers participated in the tournament, which was played in a four-ball alliance format.
The team made up of Dwayne Viljoen, Andrew Galloway, Thys de Kock and Barend Jacobsz won with a tally of 99 points.
The team made up of Andries du Plessis, Walter du Plessis, Clive Silva and Belinda Schutte were in second place with a total of 94 points, while the team made up of Danie Bouwer Jnr, Jacques Scheepers, Brian O’Reilly and Gordon Ferns came in third place with 93 points.
There were also nearest to the pin prizes for golfers, Ben Bronkhorst (fourth hole), Kobus Marnewick (eighth hole), Johan Liebenberg (hole 11), and Ernest Faver (hole 16).
