Local arm wrestling club, Lynx Arm Wrestling hosted an exciting Super Match Challenge competition for males and female competitors last Saturday at Tom Naudé Technical High School.

In arm wrestling, the primary strength comes from the players' hands, wrists and forearms.

A good weight-training routine develops a wrestler's wrist flexors and forearm muscles which increases wrist strength that improves grip.

Lynx Arm Wrestling, Johannesburg Arm Wrestling Syndicates (Jaws) and Primal Arm Wrestling club wrestlers competed in the five-round competition which was based on the best out of 10 matches wins.

Each athlete challenged an opponent to pull against, and it was a left and right hand competition with five rounds each.

Winners:

• Hanel Wilkonson (Jaws).

• Micheal de Toit (Lynx).

• Marcell Roos (Lynx).

• Kennith Tharriati (Primal).

• Koos Fourie (Jaws).

• John Mackenchie (Jaws).
