Venda Football Academy in danger of league exit

VFA coach Simon Dladla said his players promise to collect full points on Saturday when they take on Cape Town Spurs on Saturday.

LIMPOPO – Venda Football Academy (VFA), who are in danger of being kicked out of the Motsepe Foundation Championship League, aim to collect maximum points when they visit Cape Town Spurs on Saturday.

VFA are perched in the last spot with 15 points while the Spurs are languishing in the 13th position.

Other Vhembe outfit, Black Leopards who are still fresh from collecting a point into their account when they played one-all draw with JDR Stars the previous week at Malamulele Stadium, will visit Uthongathi FC on Sunday.

Leopards are currently in 14th position and Uthongathi are fifth.

Leopards coach Rodwell Dhlakama told CV earlier this week that the players are preparing for the league match against Uthongathi.

He said his side are in high spirits after drawing with Stars and that going into this match will need players firing on all cylinders.

“At the end of the match, we will strengthen our position. We have to have the same brand of football and the same level of commitment as we have shown in the last match. It will be our job to ensure that the players are equally focused for the match against our opponent. It’s for us to show that we want it more than the next team and we do this by treating each match as the most important match in our calendar.”

VFA coach Simon Dladla said his players promise to collect full points on Saturday. “Their aim is to win all the remaining matches and avoid the axe at the end of the season.”

Tshakhuma Tshamadzivhandila (TTM) will travel to Pretoria to play against JDR Stars.

TTM lost 3-0 to Hungry Lions last Sunday and if they still want to compete for the league championship TTM must win this game.
