Limpopo Softball Association hosts national championship
Men and women teams from Limpopo, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, the Western Cape, North West, Eastern Cape and USSA competed in the Softball South Africa(SSA) 2024 National Provincial Championship.
POLOKWANE – The Limpopo Softball Association hosted the Softball South Africa(SSA) 2024 National Provincial Championship at the Polokwane Cricket Club from March 20-23.
Men and women teams from Limpopo, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, the Western Cape, North West, Eastern Cape and USSA (University Sport South Africa) competed in this tournament.
On the first day of the tournament, the Limpopo women beat the USSA team 11-1, while the Limpopo men had their turn for victory, trumping their North West counterparts 21-0.
During the opening ceremony, led by the deputy chairperson of the association, Benny Boshomane, he mentioned that SSA is celebrating their 30th anniversary this year.
“I am happy to host the NPC here in Limpopo and we are looking forward to having a great time,” the association’s chairperson, Mokgadi Mswazi also remarked during her speech at the opening ceremony. It was the fifth time that the Lim Softball Association hosted the NPC.
