Former manager De Wet Kruger succeeds Thinus Labuschagne and is expected to lead the union to new heights.

POLOKWANE – The Limpopo Golf Union has congratulated its former manager, De Wet Kruger, on his recent election as the acting president of the union.

The union also expressed gratitude to Thinus Labuschagne, who previously held the position, for his valuable contributions over the years.

“It brings us great joy to welcome De Wet as the new acting president for the union. We wish you the best of luck and we thank you in advance for your service and dedication. De Wet is no stranger to serving the union, as he was in the vice president position for three years. We look forward to your leadership and we know you are the right person for the job. Thank you, Thinus, for your presidential term. Thinus, you greatly contributed and sacrificed while serving us. We honour you and we thank you. We wish you greatness on your new journey in serving South African Golf,” reads the statement from the Limpopo Golf Union.

Malesela Alpheus, president of the Limpopo Sport Confederation, expressed confidence in De Wet’s ability to lead golf in the province.

“Anyone who is elected democratically has the ability to lead. We trust that he will fulfil the dream of aspiring golfers in various areas of the province.”
