Limpopo cricketer Don in Hong Kong Sixes

Don Radebe of Limpopo Impala Cricket Club shines at Hong Kong’s Sixes 2024, representing South Africa and inspiring greatness.

POLOKWANE – Don Kgomotso Radebe, a standout player for the Limpopo Impala Cricket Club, made his mark on the international stage during the Sixes 2024 cricket tournament in Hong Kong earlier this month.

Representing South Africa for the first time, Radebe described the experience as transformative. “I learned a lot from both my teammates and the opposition, playing against ex-international stars like Robin Uthappa and Ravi Bopara. It inspired me to push even harder,” he shared.

Radebe earned his spot in the tournament following an exceptional performance in the CSA T20 competition, where he was the leading wicket-taker and named player of the season.

Reflecting on his journey, Radebe said his passion for cricket started at seven years of age, playing street cricket with his neighbours.

“I fell in love with the game immediately – it felt unique compared to other sports. Cricket has also allowed me to travel, which has been an amazing experience from a young age,” he added.

Radebe’s first professional contract came in 2018, marking the beginning of a promising career.
