Cricket teams set to represent Limpopo

Limpopo Impala Cricket (LIC) hosted its first capping session for provincial boys and girls school's teams

Limpopo Impala Cricket (LIC) hosted its first capping session for provincial boys and girls school’s teams on Friday.

All the primary and secondary school’s teams will represent the province at various regional and national tournaments.

Each player received a cap with LIC colours.

The teams that were chosen to represent LIC in various tournaments are:

• The u/11 boys team will tour North West from December 6 to 9. The team members are Tiaan Enslin (captain), Aldo Louw, Khaif Patel, Lance Trueman, Johan Harms, Gerhardus Fourie, Rinus Jacobs, Sean Roulston, Courtney Nyamakupe, Matlapo Modise, Nkateko Rikhotso and Prince Ngobeni. The team manager is Freddy Matlou and the coach is Theo van Jansen Rensburg.

• The u/12 team will compete in Pretoria from December 6 to 9. The team is made up of Ricardo Booysen (captain), Gunter Kruger, Gerhard Venter, Thomas Mayes, Wisani Mushwana, Tumelo Banda, Polite Shingange, Kenneth Pelser, Luan Botha, KT Sono, Kgopotso Twala and Rendani Bulula. Isaac Mamabolo is the team manager, while Amie Smit is the coach.

• The u/13 boys team will tour Easterns from December 6 to 9. They are Roehan Steenkamp (captain), Christiaan Schmidt, Wilco Janse van Rensburg, Louis Nel, Nickie Oosthuizen, Franco du Plessis, Tyrique Kotze, Michael Mochapa, Didi Pitsoane, Konki Masenya, Lebogang Ngobeni and Kopano Thema. Dingaan Mathonsi is the team manager and also the coach of the team.

• The u/13 girls team will travel to Namibia from December 4 to 8. The team members are Mosidi Mapheto (captain), Tido Matsaung, Manoke Morulane, Purity Liaga, Thabi Mothapo, Malebo Malatji, Rekhutsitse Kutumela, Reitumetse Kganyago, Reneilwe Ngoasheng, Lerato Makgato, Puseletso Mantjane and Tshegofatso Mgigi. The team manager is Dylen Jacobs and Thabo Semenya is the coach.

• The u/16 girls team will travel to Pretoria from December 4 to 7. They are are Cathleen Horne (captain), Benedict Apea-Adu, Lerato Baloyi, Alexander Giles, Palesa Bvuma, Lerato Mochenya, Amanda Maluleke, Kelsey-Ann Mostert, Micheala Naudé, Tina Phadziri, Anzelle Pretorius and Helgaleen Whelan. The team manager is Lizzer Monama and the coach is Bianca Wirths.

• The u/13A team will travel to Bloemfontein from December 6 to 10. The players are Dian Forrester (captain), Artwel Mkgoloboto, Lohan Duvenhage, Fumani Maluleke, Nyiko Mabulwane, Junior Snyman, Nsovo Khosa, M.W. Theunissen, Brosnan Gallant, Jandré de Beer, Phillip Apea-Adu, Albert Wells and Glen Groenewald. Adam Shai is the team manager and the coach is Martin Kroh.

• The u/15 boys team will travel to Johannesburg from Deccember 13 to 17. The team is made up of Phillip Bester (captain), Nhlanhla Shikwambana, Christian Mkansi, Tivani Mushwana, Christian Makhubele, Phumolo Scrimnger, Jimmy Modiba, Gideon Coertzen, Daelan Retief, Morné Venter, Alex Jardim, Graeme Harty and Corné Craig. Sedibu Mohlaba is the team manager and the coach is Ben Benzien.

• The u/17 boys team will travel to Stellenboscch from December 6 to 10. The team members are Etienne Botha (captain), Tlangi Mushwana, Michael Jansen van Rensburg, Sahil Patel, Nyiko Shikwambana, Tumisang Letsoalo, Regerdt Heiberg, Don Radebe, Rynard de Lange, Brendan Bezuidenhout, Aiden Vermaak and Chris Mathebula. Lucky Mhlongo is the team manager, with Johan Erasmus as the assistant coach and George Engelbrecht as the head coach.

• The u/19 girls team are set to travel to Cape Town from December 3 to 9. The team is made up of Talita Kloppers (captain), Heidi-Lene Jonck, Masingita Khosa, Richelle Lambert, Thembi Mokgohloa, Matsatsi Mametja, Jessica Mayes, Tshepho Modiba, Mahlatse Motshabi, Eunice Ramotshela, Lin-Marie Swanevelder, Amorien Venter and Lindsay Viljoen. Elsa Kriek is the team manager, with Mokwena Kutlwano as the assistant coach and Sedibu Mohlaba as the head coach.

The u/19 boys team will travel to Durban from December 16 to 20.

The team members are Landré Coetzee (captain), Ryan Botha, Tumelo Mangena, Bruce Shiburi, Kofi Apea-Adu, Vicky Esterhuizen, Johan Louw, Steven Herbst, Nick Jardim, Johan Fourie, Eddy Human, Kulani Baloyi and Asad Patel. Cyril Hepplethwaite is the team manager, with Thabo Semenya as the assistant coach and Shane Fredericks as the head coach.
