BJATLADI High School from Turfloop was crowned the football champion of Limpopo during the provincial leg of the 2014 McDonald’s u/14 schools league tournament, which was held at the Noorderland High School sports ground this past weekend.

A series of excellent plays and magnificent teamwork ensured the players from Bjatladi, led by coach Mankwe Sehoana secured themselves a place in the 2014 McDonald’s u/14 schools league finals, which will be held in October in Gauteng. “We believe that a healthy mind resides inside a healthy body. School children who take part in sport have a better chance of doing well in class as they are healthier through playing sport,” says McDonald’s South Africa corporate affairs director, Sechaba Motsieloa.

The McDonald’s u/14 schools league attracts more than 54 400 children annually across the country and provides the opportunity for future football stars to be scouted, making players even more determined to shine on the field.
