SLC hockey team claims 6th place at Noordvaal

POLOKWANE – Stanford Lake College’s (SLC) u/16 boy’s hockey team travelled to Potchefstroom where they took part in the Noordvaal hockey tournament from August 6 to 9.

The team had an exceptional start, winning both group games and ending at the top of their age group.

They beat Hoërskool Eldoraigne 2-1 and Hoërskool Transvalia 3-2.

In the play-offs, Stanford Lake College lost to Nelspruit High School, but fought back to beat Krugersdorp High School 6-2. On the last day of the tournament, Stanford Lake College played against Sasolburg High School, with the match ending in a 1-1 draw.

Stanford Lake College ended in sixth place out of 12 teams.
