Nkakabidi wins 2010 legacy tournament

NKAKABIDI High School from Sekgakgapeng village successfully defended their Mogalakwena Football for Hope Centre schools tournament title when they beat Gojela 5-2 on Friday.
It was a tough tournament hosted by the Mogalakwena Municipality, with four schools, Gojela High School, Ramogabudi High School, Nkakabidi High School and Waterberg High School in action on the soccer pitch.
Spokesperson for the Mogalakwena Municipality, Malesela Selokela, said the goal of the tournament was to promote life skills, provide HIV/aids education and address challenges like drugs and alcohol abuse, teenage pregnancy. The tournament was also held to promote responsible citizenship.
He said the tournament was a 2010 Soccer World Cup legacy project.
The Mogalakwena mayor, Malose William Mabuela opened the tournament and encouraged young people to participate in sport and refrain from substance abuse.
