POLOKWANE – This year’s Face of Savannah was crowned at Savannah Mall last Saturday, with more than a 100 spectators cheering the contestants on.
The pageant had six different categories: three to five-year-olds, six to eight-year-olds, nine to 11-year-olds, 12 to 14-year-olds, 15 to 17-year-olds and 18 to 23-year-olds.
Each contestant dressed according to their own style which reflected their personalities best.
The audience was entertained by dancers from Dance Art Studio.
Martina Pretorius, the event organiser thanked the management of Savannah Mall, especially Karen Botha and her team.
“Polokwane can be very proud of Savannah Mall, which has a team working towards the upliftment of young people of Limpopo,” Pretorius said.
The prizes, estimated to the value of R60 000, consisted of crowns, sashes, certificates, watches, jewellery, bags, nail treatments, photo shoots, make-up, designer clothes, hair products, sun glasses, hair dryers, straightners, foot spa’s, facial treatments, body lazer treatments and toys.
The Face of Savannah 2013 winners in the nine to 11 year category are Hope Mogoshoa (second princess), Palesa Masimene (winner) and Lesufi Naletsana (first princess). Congratulating them is Little Miss Nations 2010 and Little Miss South Africa 2012, Franca Pretorius.
The winners of the Face of Savannah 2013 in the 18 to 23 year category are Ntsakisi Baloyi (first princess), Martina Pretorius (event organiser), Caitlin Harty (winner) and Ilze-May Troskie (second princess).
These are the winners of the Face of Savannah 2013 in the 12 to 14 year category are Mar-Louise Fouche (first princess), Sithakgele Ledwaba (winner) and Phokeng Mphahlele (second princess).
Chantenique Niemand (first princess), Zelmari Bacher (winner) and Tshegofatso Moloto (second princess) are the winners of the Face of Savannah pageant in the 15 to 17 year category.
